THE AFGHAN EMBASSY – TOKYO

Representing Afghanistan, strengthening cooperation with Japan

The Afghan Embassy in Tokyo is Afghanistan’s official diplomatic mission to Japan. The Embassy supports Afghan nationals in Japan through consular guidance and citizen assistance where applicable, facilitates official diplomatic communication, and works to strengthen bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Japan across diplomacy, development cooperation, culture, and people-to-people ties.

Tokyo is Japan’s capital and the country’s center of government, diplomacy, and international engagement.

To protect the rights and interests of Afghan nationals, deliver efficient and transparent consular services, support Afghan communities abroad, and represent Afghanistan with dignity while strengthening relations with host countries.

Our responsibilities

The Embassy is responsible for:

Issuing and renewing passports

Processing Afghan visas for foreigners

Providing document attestation & legalization

Handling birth, marriage, and death registrations

Offering emergency legal and travel assistance

Supporting refugees and Afghan nationals in need

Issuing and renewing passports

Promoting Afghan cultural and educational exchange
